A Down-to-Earth Biblical Perspective.

Introduction:

The Human Condition.

Hey there, everyone! Thanks for joining me today. We’re about to dive into a topic that might sound a bit heavy, but trust me, it’s super important for understanding who we are and why we need God. We’re talking about “the lostness of man.” Now, don’t worry – this isn’t about getting lost in the woods or anything like that. It’s about something much deeper.

1. The Universal Nature of Human Lostness.

You know how sometimes you feel like you’re the only one struggling with certain things? Well, when it comes to this “lostness” we’re talking about, you’re definitely not alone. In fact, every single person who’s ever lived deals with this – except for one guy, and we’ll get to him later (spoiler alert: it’s Jesus).

This lostness isn’t just about feeling a bit confused or directionless. It’s way bigger than that. It’s like a spiritual GPS that’s totally on the fritz. The Bible puts it pretty bluntly in Romans 3:23, saying “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That’s a fancy way of saying we’re all in the same boat, and that boat. And, well, it’s kind of taking on water.

2. The Importance of Understanding Our Condition.
