It’s deeply painful to see so many people struggling with despair and hopelessness in our world today. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible work of organisations like the Samaritans, who reach out with such kindness to those in need. Their compassionate support can be a lifeline for those feeling overwhelmed by thoughts of self-harm or suicide, offering a listening ear and a caring presence when it’s needed most.
As followers of Jesus, whether we’re pastors, leaders, or simply believers, we all carry the precious responsibility of sharing the full message of the gospel. Lately, there has been a tendency to focus mainly on the message that “God loves you,” which is absolutely true and a beautiful truth that we should never overlook. But it’s only one part of the whole story. God’s love shines even more brilliantly when we also share the reality of the brokenness in our world – the sin, the need for repentance, and the eternal consequences that come from our choices.
